Angelique Dauxette

Meet Angelique the Founder Member of ‘The Gang’

What do we know about Angelique?

Perhaps a better way to phrase that question is:

“What are we allowed to know about her?”

Before we step into her story, let’s begin with the coffee?

Angelique’s Favourite Coffee is Skinny Latte

Angelique orders a Skinny Latte made with a single Espresso shot, skimmed milk, a dose of sugar free Vanilla syrup, plus a little foam on top, served in an 8oz glass.

A regular latte is made with a single or double shot of Espresso, steamed full fat milk (and optional syrup). The ratio of Espresso to milk is usually 1:3 – 1:5, with a 12mm layer of foam on top.

Angelique prefers skinny latte, made her way, for the taste rather than to save calories.

The origins and development of Angelique Dauxette.

The Backstory for Angelique emerged slowly, with lots of ‘stops and starts’, but, given that I was mightily intrigued by her appearance, I persevered.

The starting point had to be her name, something very typically French was needed for this character, so, eventually, after poring through umpteen French language books and magazines, Angelique Dauxette became the ‘standout’ choice of name for this lady.

I recall too that the moment Angelique appeared on the page, my immediate feeling, or instinct, was that Angelique had to be a spy, and not just any old spy!

Angelique would have to be an elite member of the French Secret Service, a field agent with a deadly reputation as an operative and assassin, a natural choice for any mission that seemed ‘impossible’ or beyond the capabilities of ‘normal’ guys!

So, with her looks, temperament, abilities and background sorted, I couldn’t wait to get started on telling her story.

This is what I discovered.

Because Angelique Dauxette is a spy, only the French Authorities really know her true story, however, as far as I have been able to ascertain, the following details are believed to be accurate but cannot, of course, be officially confirmed.

Angelique Dauxette, 43 years old, born on the 13th July 1983 in St Clair, a small town on the outskirts of St Lo, North West France.

Showing exceptional ability to learn languages from a very early age, she was educated at the Sorbonne, then Harvard, followed by research grants to study in Cairo and Moscow.

Angelique is multi-lingual, fluent in Spanish, Italian, German, Arabic and Russian; in addition, she has a good working knowledge of many East European languages and dialects.

In 2010 Angelique was recruited by the French Secret Service to be trained as a field agent within the Department of Homeland Security, part of a small, select, team tasked with protecting the core cultural assets of France and French life.

It is believed that Angelique spent some time at the École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr teaching languages on the Masters program whilst, at the same time, receiving training and instruction usually reserved for members of the French Special Forces.

Sometime later, Angelique moved into a Department ‘Safe House’ in Paris, a discrete gated apartment complex just off the Rue de Rivoli, close by the Musée du Louvre.
